Hidden behind trees deep in the woods, a girl named Lily lived in a small home with her family. Lily was very happy with her family and they always took care of each other. In the front of their house, a small garden with many flowers and plants grew. Lily always loved her home, the garden, and her family very much.
(Exposition)
On a terrible, rainy day, the home was struck by lightning and caught on fire. As Lily was the only one outside in the garden, she was able to escape before she was caught in the fire. Lily ran deep into the woods, leaving her family behind forever.
(Rising Action 1)
Lily ran inside the small cottage to find help but the cottage was empty. Lily cried and cried as she lost all her hope.
Through thick trees and thorny bushes, Lily found a small cottage lying in the middle of the woods.
(Rising Action 2)

Suddenly, a bright light appeared and Lily heard a voice speak. The ancient Buddha had appeared.
"What is wrong, Lily?" Buddha asked.
Lily cried to the incredible being, "I've lost my family in a horrible fire! Oh, how can I ever move on?"
(Rising Action 3)
Buddha laughed, "I've taught people many lessons for more than 45 years! I'll tell you one of the Three Marks of Existence Lily!" (Buddhism: Basic Beliefs).
Lily stopped crying to listen.
"You have been hurt, but you will never be happy again if you keep holding on to sadness. This pain is not forever," the great Buddha said (Nourie).
"You have to both understand and accept that things will change," Buddha smiled (Reinsmoen).
"I hope I have brought you a bit of hope, Lily" Buddha whispered before fading away.
Lily dried her tears as she began to realize how she mustn't let her hope slip away. Even when things are hard, Lily will learn to get through them.
"Thank you Buddha," Lily whispered, "But what should I do now? Oh, I can't do anything! I can't!"
"Don't cry Lily, you can still save your hope!" A voice shouted. It was a Jewish Rabbi!
"If you want to save your hope, you must be able to change" said the Rabbi (Forester).
"But what does that mean?" Lily asked the Rabbi.
"It means you have to try. To find hope, you need to know who you are and try to change how you think. You might not have hope now, but you can soon if you try," the Rabbi said as he left behind a trail of light (Kwiatek).
"Oh, I think I understand, but I don't think I have time to change myself if i'm stuck in this cottage. What will I ever do?" Lily whispered sadly.
"Don't worry, Lily" A third magical voice said.
Sparkles fell in Lily's hair. It was an ancestor that helped create our world (Korff).
"Dreamtime is the beginning of creation, and it is always around you, even now," the ancestor said (Fox).
"Don't be afraid, you have plenty of time to find out what to do. To start, find out how to control yourself and be brave ("Aboriginal Culture"). I must leave again, but don't forget to be patient and have hope" the ancestor said before sparkling away.
