Once upon a time, there was a little boy who
did not like Christmas time, so when his mum
and dad started decorating the Christmas’
tree after Thanks Giving Day, he got very
upset and moody.

Then his mum and dad told him he
should write a letter to Father Christmas
asking for the presents he would like to
get on Christmas Day, but the little boy
didn’t listen. Instead he ran away from
home!

After a few hours his mum and dad got
really worried because it was getting
dark and the little boy was all alone so
they went to look for him.

Finally, they found the little boy in one
of the poorest district of town. He was
speaking to a group of boys his same
age.
His parents called him and not very
happily he left the group and went to
where his parents were.

In their way home the little boy
explained to mum and dad why he
didn’t like Christmas, he said:
Mum, Dad, I don’t feel happy these
days…
Did you see the boys I was talking to?
Last week the teacher took us in a
school trip to the poor districts of town,
and I met them.

They eat only once a day, and the
clothes they dress are either too big or
too small for them because they get
them from the trash (rubbish) and
worst of all, Father Christmas doesn’t go
to their houses on Christmas Day, he
forgets them every year! And that’s not
fair!

Mum and Dad looked into each other
eyes and mum answer him:
Well baby, you know every year you
write a letter to Father Christmas, right?
So, why don’t you tell him about that?
If they are so poor maybe they don’t
even have paper and pens to write their
letters to Father Christmas…

The little boy started to write his letter
as soon as he arrived home, this time
including the names of all his friends
from the poor district.
