Welcome to your final year at WHMS! There are a few things you need to know so you can have an amazing 8th-grade year. Some advice I have for you is to get along with your teachers, prepare for high school, and try your best in school.
Getting along with your teachers can make your 8th-grade year so much more fun. In Mrs. Stewart's class, you should always listen. She gets mad when you don't listen when she is talking.
Mrs. Kilgore is really fun with all the activities she has planned, but you have to work hard! It's also the easiest to get an A in her class because she can check your work before you turn it in.
Lastly, in Mr. Birdwhistell’s class, you just have to listen carefully to the directions. He also calls on people randomly, so be sure you are prepared whenever he calls on you. Overall, all the teachers are extremely nice if you are someone who is respectful and kind.
Preparing for high school is also really important this year. You would get field trips that allow you to further understand the type of pathway you would want to go into. For example, there is the career fair that allows you to listen to the professionals in the pathway of your interest.
Something else the school might have for you is the people that come from Central Hardin. They would be here to give you very important information on how to fill out your schedules correctly.
