Munchkin woke up on a bright, sunny
Monday. She got up to get ready for school.
First, she brushed her sparkly, purple mane
and got dressed, and then went downstairs for
breakfast.

“Good morning, Munchkin,” said Munchkin’s
mom.
“Hey Mom.” She sat down at the table and
poured herself a bowl of delicious Rainbow
Crunch Oats. Munchkin finished her oats,
packed her bag, and then was off to school.

As Munchkin flew down the Rainbow Super
Highway with all the other unicorns, she was
very excited. Today, she had noticed her candy
corn tree was blooming, so she had fresh
candy corns to eat at lunch.

When Munchkin got to school, she pranced all
the way to her first class, art. She sat next to
her friend Angel and decided to draw candy
corns. Then, she went to get her rainbow
sketchbook and her glittery markers, and
started to draw.

“Munchkin, that’s a beautiful drawing!” said
Angel.
“Thanks, Angel,” replied Munchkin.
“Why did you draw candy corn?” asked
Angel.
“Today, my candy corn tree was blooming,
so I have fresh candy corns for lunch!”
“Can I have some candy corn at lunch?”
questioned Angel excitedly.
“Sure, there is enough candy corn for
everyone.” Munchkin finished her drawing,
just as the bell rang.

Munchkin pranced down to lunch, and sat
down with her friends. She set down her
Super Unicorn™ lunchbox and pulled out her
candy corns.
“Can I have some candy corn?” asked Angel.
“Can I have some too?” asked Honey Pie and
Strawberry.
Munchkin dumped her candy corns on the
table, and counted out 12.

“There’s not enough for all of you,” Munchkin
said. “I’ll just eat all of them. “ Munchkin began
eating her candy corns, one by one, and savoring
the sweet taste.
“But Munchkin, you promised all of us candy
corns,” complained Honey Pie.
“Yeah, it’s not fair,” said Strawberry. .
“I never promised anyone anything!” exclaimed
Munchkin.
“Yes, you did. In art, you told me you were going
to share with everyone,” said Angel.

“I don’t want to share my candy corns,” declared
Munchkin. “I said there was enough candy corns
for everyone, not that I would share them with
everyone.”
“Fine, we’ll just go sit at another table today,
away from you,” replied Honey Pie angrily. All
of Munchkin’s friends packed their lunch boxes,
got up and went to sit down at the far side of the
cafeteria. Oh no, where are my friends going?
Munchkin thought. Munchkin felt rejected and
dejected.

After school, Munchkin flew home alone on
the Rainbow Super Highway. Munchkin had
never felt so depressed in her entire life. When
Munchkin got home, she sulked all the way to
her room. She fell onto her bed and started
crying. After a few minutes, Munchkin’s mom
came in.

“What’s wrong, Munchkin?” she asked.
“My friends hate me,” sobbed Munchkin.
“Why?”
“I didn’t share my candy corns with them at
lunch.”
“Did you say that you would share your candy
corns with them?”

“Kind of, but there were only 12 candy corns.”
“Well, everyone could have gotten 3 candy
corns.”
“But I wanted them all.”
“When you promise someone something, you
have to keep your promises.”
“I guess so. I will apologize tomorrow.”

The next day, Munchkin woke up. Suddenly,
Munchkin had an idea. Her candy corn tree
was blooming again, so she could bring her
friends candy corn to make up for her bad
behavior.
