from the United States. She is currently ranked no. 1 in the world.
I dedicate this book to her and the loss of her step-sister Yetunde in
2003. Yetunde was loved very much by more than just her family and
friends. She was not only known as her step-sister but also as Serena's
personal assistant.

In 2003 the Williams and Price family got
some shocking news. Step-sister Yetunde

consistent. Her best shots are her first serve,
forehand and two-handed backhand.
She has had different injuries including her
lower back and foot which she hurt in a
restaurant and had to wear a cast for seven
months. One of her major problems was a
blood clot in her lungs. She was at an Elton
John party when she was rushed to hospital.
She had two operations before going back to
training. This time out caused her to lose her
No.1 ranking and fall down to No.11 but she
soon regained her title.

Serena now has her own foundation called the
Serena Williams Foundation. It is established
to achieve two goals.
The first is to provide assistance to youth
whose parents or families who have been
affected by violent crimes. It will do this by
funding and creating programs that will
provide counsellings, care (foster and day),
housing, food and education to the youth that
have been affected throughout the United
States.

The second is to assist underprivileged
around the world in receiving the highest
quality education available to them by
providing grants and scholarships to
deserving high school students around the
world. These will ad students in attending
college, learning a trade or learning how to
start their own business so that they can
better themselves and the world as a whole.
