Chapter 1

AGE OF THE NEW HEROES

It’s a normal day at Green Meadow Middle School. Kai and his superhero cousins are paying close attention to the lessons of the day. Suddenly, each hero receives an alert on their  watches.  Simultaneously, each hero excuses themselves to the bathroom and heads directly to their lockers where a secret compartment allows them to slide underground into their secret base of operation.  

Once they reach the underground base of operations, they are summoned to a big screen TV where Dr. Patrick appears to prepare the team for the upcoming threat in Texas. Dr. Patrick informed the team that there is a plan to destroy a nuclear power plant by the evil Greg.

Greg who became a villain 2 months ago when he began to admire a fellow co-worker who was an engineer, "Osun was beautiful" Greg thought, he wanted to ask Osun out on a date. one day during lunch in the employee breakroom, Greg worked up the nerve to ask her out, but Osun rejected his offer because she was already engaged.  

Greg took great offense to this rejection because he really cared for Osun, and knew that she could fall for him if only he had the chance to prove himself.  Greg tried several times to win the affection of Osun, but to no avail.  Eventually his work at the power plant suffered, and he was fired from his job. These turn of events motivated Greg to devise a plan to destroy the nuclear power plant where he once worked.

Once Dr. Patrick completed the briefing, he noticed that each of the heroes had fallen asleep from boredom.  Dr. Patrick became very furious that the heroes did not see Greg as a dangerous villain.     

He began to yell at the heroes and each of them jumped from their sleep. He began explaining that Greg was posing to the state of Texas. Although the New Heroes did not view the situation as a threat, the team knew they needed to neutralize the enemy because human lives could be at stake.

After leaving school, the team arrives at the public library to create fake field trip approvals which would allow them to travel to Texas to begin working on the risk to the power plant. “Hey guys, I’ve been thinking…maybe Greg is really an issue for the safety of the power plant.” Abry says. “There’s no way that this guy is a threat!  He’s only upset over a crush and losing his job. We’ll have him in jail in no time!” Kai responds.  “the field trip approvals are ready” Preston interrupts . Preston created the approvals from his computer and printed them using the library printer.   The team decided to go to Texas during their school’s spring break.  Each hero takes an approval and heads home for their parent's signature.  

Chapter 2

TEXAS HERE WE COME

 As the heroes walk home, they began to devise a plan to tell their parents about the field trip that will allow them to go to Texas to neutralize Greg and his terroristic threats. Kai suggests, “We should tell our parents that we’re going on a tour to Texas for a week and the main event is the trip to Sea world in San Antonio.  This will give us enough time to arrest Greg and be home in time for school on the following week”.  Each agrees that this is a great plan and they come to an agreement on what to tell their parents.

They all parted ways and went home. Each hero was successful in getting their parents to agree. The next day they got ready to go to Texas for seven days. They met up in an alley way where no one could see them. When nobody was looking, they shot up into the air using their own unique abilities. When they all got to Texas, they were confused on what to do, so they decided to look for some clues. Soon they found out something big. While walking down a street they found a backpack in the middle of a sidewalk. They picked it up and brought it to their hide out. When they looked inside, they found a picture of someone at the power plant, a key to a door, and rubber gloves. When they saw the picture, they all knew that it had to be Greg. Their curiosity was sparked and they looked online to find out more. 

When they saw it, they were in shock, it said ‘’ local by stander Greg Robinson died in a huge car crash. They had so many questions like did he fake his  death, did somebody else fake his death, is he really  dead. They were so confused they were even wondering if they went on this mission for nothing and what’s going on. Eventually Preston said“ what if he actually is dead what if we came all the way out to Texas for nothing." The hero’s stayed silent. Abry tried to call dr. Patrick but he didn’t answer. As they where getting ready for bed they heard police sirens and when they stepped out side they saw something very horrible.

Chapter 3

EVIL Approaches 

There where people in black masks every where holding swords and guns. It looked like they were making the citizens go somewhere. The hero’s knew just what to do, they got suited up and ready to fight. eight minuets later those bad guys where sound asleep. The citizens bathed them in glory and thanked them so many times they couldn’t even keep count. When the heroes left, they took one of the men as a hostage to question him, but the guy didn’t talk at all, he didn’t eat, or sleep for a whole day. Eventually they put him in jail because he was not useful.  Abry said that they only have five days left to defeat Greg. So they continued doing more research on Greg's background.  

Chapter 4

Greg's Backstory

Backstory of Greg… at the age of 7 Greg was placed in an orphanage.   His parents didn’t have the means to take care of Greg so they thought the best place for him was at an orphanage with children his age and adults that would take care of him. His treatment in the orphanage was not good. He was forced to do hard labor and he couldn’t play like most children.  As Greg got older, the idea of adoption soon faded away.  Most parents adopted younger children, but Greg had become older and unadoptable. Greg aged out of the foster care and went to college where he became a nuclear scientist. Greg had friends in the orphanage, but many of them were adopted and he lost contact with them. Throughout Greg's life he was never shown love or support because of his life in the orphanage, and this made him very angry and afraid to trust people.  

While in college his dream was to become a nuclear scientist because he always loved science.  Soon he got a job at a nuclear power plant in Texas where he met Osun.  Initially, he was afraid to approach Osun because he was intimidated by how smart and beautiful, she was. Greg soon worked up the nerve to approach Osun and ask her out, but by the time he made his move, Osun was dating Dante another scientist at the nuclear power plant in Texas. Greg was hurt by Osun’s relationship because he knew that Osun would fall for him if only, she knew who he was as a person.  

Chapter 5

Evil Approaches: Part II

As the heroes tried to discover a way to defeat the Evil Greg, King comes up with an idea to go to the power plant and interview both Osun and Greg's ex-coworkers to gain more information about Greg. Kai and King are assigned to interview the co-workers, while Abry and Preston interview Osun. Preston sets up a plan to get into the powerplant without getting in trouble with the security guards.

Kai and King gathered all the co-workers to interview them about Greg's behavior prior to him being fired. The co-workers explained that Greg really cared for Osun, because he spoke about her often. The co-workers also revealed that Greg also had a big  temper about small things that happened in the office. For example, he got very mad when the printer in the office jammed with paper, he got so mad he began striking the printer and going into a rage. The supervisor had to calm him down and send him home for the day.  

In the interview with Osun, Abry and Preston, ask about Greg’s crush on her. Osun didn’t think the crush was serious because she was in love with Dante (her husband). Osun is unable to give Abry and King incriminating information about Greg, but she does encourage them to keep an eye on him. Osun tells Abry and Preston, there’s something about him that isn’t right.

After both interviews, the heroes meet up to discuss the information received in the interviews with Osun and the co-workers at the power plant.  It’s very clear to Kai, that Greg has a temper and is not to be trusted.  

The key in the backpack belongs to Greg's apartment so they decide to search the place where he once lived.

Chapter 6 

Pieces of a Secret

King suggests they search Greg’s house for his computer

so Abry and Kai decide to go to Greg’s house to steal his computer. Abry and Kai return with the computer and Preston begins hacking into it. They find Greg was communicating with a Doctor, through email, but they don’t know who the Doctor is. They go to the doctor’s office and talk to some doctors there, but they don't know who Greg is. After the doctor’s office they go back to their hideout and discuss the information that they found. Preston discovers that Greg planned on leaving the city by buying a train ticket to Bryxton Town. The team prepare to leave for Bryxton Town to find Greg.
