On September 11, 2001 Flight 93 took off from
Newark, New Jersey at 8:42 AM bound for San Francisco
after a 25 minute delay. The crew was
ready for a routine flight on the beautiful sunny day.
As they flew toward Cleveland, Ohio, passengers and crew
were unaware that 4 minutes after take off, a
plane slammed into the North Tower of the World Trade
Center

At 9:03 AM the South Tower of the World Trade
Center was also attacked.
Although the exact time of the hijacking is not known,
it was thought to have been at 9:28 AM when
the plane altered its course. Four minutes later
a third plane hit the Pentagon.
Passengers on Flight 93 began to contact loved ones
and learned of the other hijackings, as well as the fate
of passengers on the other planes. Realizing their choices
were limited, the passengers of flight 93 voted
to fight for control of the plane.
