 I will arise and go now, 

 and go to the Leitrim stream.

 As the sun shines upon my face,

 and as the crystal waters gleam.

 I know I am alone,

 but yet it's not as it seems.

 Alas, I do not care!

 As I lay down for my dreams. 

Free From Covid

It is time to go back to school

from these long days,

from Covid to Covid

we learn new special ways.

It is time to learn,

it is time to be free,

it is time to let go 

like leaves falling from a tree.

Life As A Shoe

I hate it when you stamp your feet,

especially with that nasty smell.

You really take me for granted,

there's really much to tell!

You tie me up in laces,

which is rather rude.

You strap me up for a journey,

But alas, I must conclude.

Put yourself in my shoes then maybe you shall see,

your feet really stink, that I guarantee!

Covid Christmas

Do not give up hope this year

it will still be great,

we will still get presents

do not give up fate.

Even when we cannot see the ones we love

we will be closer than ever,

when this is done

we shall be together forever.

A Poem of A Curious Bird

There is a little bird                    I am fond of little Martin

who lives in my garden.            he is a sweet little thing.

He is a Blackbird,                        Although he is tiny

and his name is Martin!             he acts like a greedy king!

He has an orange beak             He wolfs down worms

and very long claws,                  like there is no tomorrow,

sometimes he sighs,                 One day he flew away,

and opens his jaws!                   and now I am filled with sorrow.
