A day on the farm was a day of fun for little Elle. Each day grew better for the little Northern Bell. There was something new around each turn, and there was always something new to learn.
The sun shining over the field looked prettier every single day, and the wind in Elle’s hair blew every which way.
The tiny girl with a big, big heart loved all the animals from the little state of Maine, and she even loved to feed the animals their grain. Elle loved them all the way to the stars in the sky and back. She loved them so much that she played in the chicken shack.
Elle’s heart filled like an overflowing cup, and when she stroked her horse, Max, her eyes would light up. Max was thick and tall, and Elle was so small that he looked like a wall.
She could easily walk underneath Max without bending over at all, but when she climbed into the saddle she got scared that she may fall.
Max was a kindhearted soul, and he carefully stepped over every pole. He too, was afraid he may do something wrong, but when they worked together they were incredibly strong.
Max’s coat was a beautiful shade of gray, and he was the sweetest horse you could imagine in every way. He would softly eat grass from little Elle’s hand, and he let her play with his cute ears as he would patiently stand.
His eyes were as shiny as pearls from the oysters at the bottom of the ocean, and his tail whipped quickly to swat away the flies in the hot summer heat with a swift motion. He would endlessly swish his tail like an excited puppy dog. Everyone loved him, even the neighbor’s hog.
It was a late summer in Maine, and Elle had more energy to gain. The warmth of the sun on her skin kept her warm all day. She loved to take care of her animals in the best way. Her family owned Max and the chickens too, and the neighbors had a cat. They even had goats and a little barn rat.
