Soccer

Soccer is a worldwide sport played by people of 

all kinds, from pro athletes to little kids.

Some important events in soccer are the FIFA 

World Cup, FIFA Woman's World Cup (FWWC), 

Major League Soccer (MLS), and the Barclays 

Premier League Final.

Introduction 

In this story, I will tell you about some of the 

world's players and where they are from.

Luis Suarez

One of the world's most notorious players 

is Luis Suarez. He got suspended three 

times and banned from nine months of 

world soccer for chomping on the shoulder 

of an Italian player in the World Cup of 

2014. 

                 Uruguay  

Lionel Messi

He plays for Barcelona and the Argentinian 

national team and was awarded the Golden 

Ball in the 2014 World Cup. "Messi taught 

himself instead of a coach saying ’run from 

cone to cone with the ball, do this, do that."

Tim Howard

He plays for Everton and 

the USA national team 

as goalie. He made a 

record 16 saves in only 

4 games in the 2014 

World Cup! He was also 

the MVP for USA.
