Once upon a time, there lived donkey on a farm, who worked for years carrying loads of flour.

Later, he was old and too weak to do work anymore, so he went away, to sing a gig in Bremen town.

While he was walking, he saw a lute just sitting there, "What is this"? he said, "a lute just sitting there, I better play it!"

So he picked up, and played it and sang this song.

"Oh, I'm going to Bremen to sing a gig" when he saw a hound dog just lying, he asked "Why are you lying there?"

"I used to run, and run, but now I'm too old to do so", "Oh, that's figures, but come along with me!" he said, "I can play the lute, and you play the Banjo!"

So they sang their song as loud they could, before they heard the cry of a cat.

"What's wrong cat?" they asked. "I'm too old, and my teeth are false too!" "I've got an idea!" said the donkey, "come with us to Bremen," you can come along with us to Bremen you can play, the fiddle while there. The cat agreed and followed them, and they kept singing.

Cock A Doodle Doo! a rooster crowed.

The animals herd this, and the donkey asked "Why are you still crowing, it's almost noon?" rooster said "They're going to cook me, and eat me tomorrow, So I'm saying goodbye to life! " "You can sing at Bremen!" said the dog!

They kept singing, until they saw signs pointing in directions to Bremen town & the pond, they chose the Sign that said Bremen town.

Yet despite their dreams, they were not going to Bremen.

It was getting late, and the musicians saw an old abandoned house with a light, they wanted to go in.

But, some robbers were in there, looking at food, as if they wanted to eat it all.

Just then,  the donkey had an idea, he told everyone to gather  around, and the animals had a plan.

The donkey placed his four feet on the ground, the hound jumped on the donkey's back, the cat leaped onto the dog's head, and the rooster flew onto the cat.
