PG. 1 HISTORY
In the beginning, before any of you were born, there were cavemen who started the whole candy thing by eating honey. Then the Egyptians, Arabs, and Chinese helped make what we know of as candy today by combining honey, fruits, and nuts.
Did you know that the oldest types of candies are licorice and ginger, but the oldest candy brand in the US is Good and Plenty, made in 1893!

PG 2 TYPES
Have you ever wondered how many different types of candy there are? Let's start with chocolate. There's Hershey's, Sees, Twix, Snickers, Musketeers, M&Ms and the list goes on. Well of course we can't forget about the sour candy. There's Skittles, Sour Patch Kids, Warheads, Airheads, Starbursts, and so many more! There are also so many different brands of gummy candy like Haribo, Black Forest, Licorice, and Swedish Fish. We can't forget about our favorite...caramel: Caramel Apples, Sea Salt Caramel, Twix, Sugar Babies, and Cow Tales, just to name a few.
PG. 3 INVENTOR
Guess who invented candy? The Ancient Egyptians created the first candy in 1500 BC combining honey, nuts, and fruit as a treat for families and neighbors. It was the Indians who first made hard brown sugar candy by melting the sugar to make this yummy treat.
The very first chocolate candy was made by British man JS Fry in 1847.
Did you know... Snickers were introduced 93 years ago?!
