Once upon a time, an itty, bitty puppy named Charlie was born. The only thing is, he was born with a gray cloud right above his head.

The gray cloud could never grow bigger, it didn't need energy, it couldn't create more gray clouds to tag along, it needed nothing to just be. 

Charlie never let that dim his bright light though.

Charlie, on the other hand, needed many things in life. He needed milk for strong bones to help him grow. He needed food in order to maintain his weight and not go hungry. He needed water to keep him hydrated. He needed a safe place to run and play. He also needed security in order for him to rest at ease. 

Even though Charlie needed all these things to survive, the most important thing he needed was love.

Charlie wandered all day and night in search of the things he needed to survive. He always found food, even if it was scraps from the trash. He always managed to find water to drink. He found squirrels and bunnies to chase. He found stray animals to play with him. He even found nice places to lay his head at times. 

Even though Charlie always managed to stay positive, his quest to finding love still weighed heavy on him.

One day when Charlie grew hungry, he found himself eating scraps from a trash can again. Only this time it was scraps from a trashcan that belonged to a lady named Ms. Kendall. 

Ms. Kendall, being the lover of animals that she is, took Charlie in and feed him delicious food, gave him ice-cold water to drink, fun toys to play with, and even gave him a warm place to sleep for the night. 

Charlie's gray cloud still loomed but it appeared to decrease in size. 

After Ms. Kendall helped Charlie, he wondered if it could possibly be the end of his quest to finding the love he was looking for. 

He had his own set of doubts but instead of worrying, he decieded to make the most of his time there and enjoy himself.
