Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989. She grew up in West Reading, Pennsylvania, on a Christmas tree farm until she was 14 years old. She loved music. When she was 12, a repair man working for her family taught her to play the guitar. In 2005, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee to start her singing career.

On November 1, 2004, Taylor performed at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. There, she met Scott Borchetta, who worked for Big Machine Records, and later signed a contract with them. Big mistake.

Boom! Taylor Swift, her debut album, was released internationally on March 18, 2008.

A few years, and albums, later, Taylor decided she wanted to own her music. They were not happy about that.
