
The light wind ruffled my fur as I was being led to- well, I don't know where I'm going. I was just in a nice house with other dogs, all with names that are what the humans call temporary names. What are they even talking about? Like, my name was Bear. How neat.
"What are we naming him?" One human asked another,
Not something else! Surely that nice lady at the desk told you that!
"How about 'Cuddles'?" the smallest one, a little girl, said with happiness and excitement in her voice.
Chapter one
Nice try, but my name isn't Cuddles like I said, its bear.
"How about something amazing, not something like that!" a girl, looking age ten in human years said.
She thought for a moment, then said, "Like Outlaw. Or Thief."
"Can we please wait until we get back to the house? Mom told us to get a dog, not to buy one and name it." The oldest one said, a tall boy who looked like he was eighteen in human years.
"Yeah yeah..." the young girl said.
The tiny girl giggled and squeezed a dog stuffed animal she was holding. It looked so real.
I stared into it's eyes, hoping to catch it blink.
It didn't unless it only blinked when I blinked.
Nevertheless, I continued to stare. It turned out to be a terrible decision.
I bumped into a tiny french bulldog that was black, white and brown.
"Watch where you are going!" he stared at him with anger burning like a flame in his small eyes.
"Hey, hey, I'm sorry, okay? I was just passing..." I trailed off, realizing I probably missed the puppy blink.
"Don't you dare say 'gas'!" He growled. "You know, I hate pitbulls that do potty humor!"
"You're lucky, I don't do potty humor." I tried to make my big teeth form a smile, but it looked like a smirk, which the french bulldog didn't seem to like, in
