  Once upon a time, there lived a shy, little girl. She was the nicest little girl to anyone she encountered and had a heart of gold. Although she was nice to others, they weren't always nice to her.

"Why are the other kids always so mean to me?" thought the little girl. The little girl was sad, but always tried her best to be kind to the other little boys and girls.

Sentence 1: Interrogative     Sentence 2: Declarative

Eventually, the little girl grew up. She never liked that she got picked on when she was younger, so she made it her mission to make sure other little girls never went through the same thing.

The little girl got an idea! The county where she lived had their upcoming queen contest. The little girl thought this would be the perfect way to act as a role model for other little girls!

The little girl was nervous and wasn't sure if she could win. "Try it." her friends told her. "We know you can do it!"

The little girl gained so much support from her friends and family. She knew that if she set her mind to her goal, then she could win. She spent countless hours practicing for interviews, a speech, and walking in heels!
