"I have been a wolf all my life. One day how I

Benjamin blackbird sits as lonely 

as can be.

All alone on that great hickory 

tree.

His eyes are sad, as he stares into 

the pines.

He hopes one day all will be fine.

Here he sits, on a cold wintry 

day.

He wishes his sadness would all 

go away.

Time passes by and he feels 

himself getting older.

The leaves are falling and the 

air is getting colder.

He sings to the moon a sad  

lonely song.

The willows weep and they 

sing along.

Then he remembers a girl he 

once loved;

And when he picked her 

flowers, she was a snow white 

dove!
