This book is dedicated to my two fascinating and silly brothers, Rigel and Soren.

Once upon a time, there was a farmer named Rosie. She loved to cook and did it very often.

She cooked for her nieces and nephews when they came over to stay while their parents were on their vacations, and she cooked for holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as some candy-making she did on Halloween. Like I said, Rosie loved to cook.

One cool fall morning, Rosie was taking her crops to the market. She hummed a happy little tune as she skipped merrily along the long stone path. Then, all of the sudden, a furry little dog ran right across it! 

Rosie followed the little white creature into a bright, beautiful meadow that she had never seen before. A huge, grey mountain loomed in front of them. Rosie had never seen a mountain before! Then, Rosie saw a giant apple in the forest next to them. She was about to run over and grab it when she heard a voice. "Oh, I wouldn't do that if I were you, miss" It said. "Huh?" Rosie asked, "Whose there? A... And where am I?" She was beginning to feel a bit nervous now. 

"Welcome", said a different,deeper voice, "To the land...of the dogs." Rosie gave a silent sigh of relief, and then, her heart sped up again. Talking dogs? Land of the dogs? This is so confusing, Rosie thought.
