Hi my name is Squirt and I am a gecko.

When I was really little I lived in a pet store.   I 

lived with 8 other geckos. I was really small. I 

was only 3 inches long.

One day when I was sleeping. I was awaken 

by someone picking me up.   What is going on I 

asked?

The guy from the store put me in a box.  

"Where am I going?"

When the box opened I met a boy named Nate.  

He put me in a new home.

My new home is great.   I have a log to sleep 

under.   A piece of wood to climb and a dish 

with water.

I look forward to Nate coming home from 

school.   He picks me up and carries me around 

the house.

I met new friends.   Nate has three cats Tiny, 

Shadow and Charlie.   Shadow and Tiny are 

black cats and Charlie is gray. 

Charlie likes to sit on top of my cage. She tells 

me what she has seen in the window that day.  

Usually birds and squirrels. Sometimes she see 

another cat.
