CHAPTER 1
In a quiet night. There was a boy looking out the starry sky, his name was Tom and he lived at ‘Sunflower Orphanage’.
He was a kind, smart, and helpful boy. Everyone loved him. However, he was adopted eight years ago, and unfortunately he didn't remember anything about his life before then
One day, Ms. Ann, the director of the orphanage, threw a party for the children. Tom had a lot of fun. After the party, Ms. Ann called Tom into her room and told him a secret:
- “Mom, what's matter?” Tom asked.
- “I have something to tell you,” Ms. Ann said.
- “I've been keeping this for a long time.”
Ms. Ann reached into her desk and pulled out a necklace with a star-shaped pendant.
- ''I found you with this necklace'', she said,
- ''Today is eight years since you came to the orphanage. I think you're mature enough to make your own decision. So, I'm giving this back to you.''
Tom realized that he could use the necklace to find out who he was before and find his family. Then. he hugged Ms.Ann tightly and said:
- :“Thank you for taking care and teaching me.”
- “You're welcome. You've also brought joyful moments to me and the other children here.” Ms. Ann comforted him.
That night, Tom packed his things and said goodbye to everyone at the orphanage. They were happy for him, but they were also fed up as seeing him go.
The next morning, Tom's journey began.
CHAPTER II
Tom walked through the golden rice fields, sleeped in a hut at night, gazed at the starry sky, looked for the nameless star that he always looked at. Walking through the fields, he came to the edge of a forest and followed a trail into the woods. In the colorful forest, he came to a river bank, where there was a wooden bridge across it. The most noticeable thing was that an old man on the bridge struggling with his cow.
Tom quickly ran up the bridge and realized that the cow's foot was caught in a hole on the bridge and the old man could not lift the cow. Tom said:
- "Let me help you."
- "Thank you," the old man said.
Tom ran back and lifted the cow. He had to try very hard to be able to lift the cow's foot. As soon as the cow was free, the cow lifted its foot and ran away to the other side of the bridge in fear.
Because of the cow's kick, the hole in the bridge widened and caused the bridge to seem like it was about to collapse. Tom ran across with the old man. Because the old man was exhausted, Tom had to carry the old man. As Tom was about to cross the other side, he tripped over a wooden board. When he fell, he used all his strength to push the old man onto the cow's back.
Tom himself fell into the fast-flowing river. His foot hit a rock under the river and then his head hit the rock, knocking him unconscious. His body floated aimlessly down the river. The last image he saw was the old man being able to stand up and then his vision blacked out.
CHAPTER III
Tom woke up in a bedroom. He heard footsteps coming closer. It was the old man he had helped.
- "Good morning, young man," the old man said.
- "Are you okay?" Tom asked.
- "I'm fine. But you should be more worried about yourself." the old man said.
Tom looked down and saw his bandaged leg, He felt sad and scared. The old man saw it and offered to let Tom stay with him until he was better. Tom's eyes lit up.
During this time, Tom helped the old man with his business. The old man saw Tom's kindness and knew that he was a good person. He taught Tom how to make cheese pastries. Tom learned quickly, and he made the pastries even better than the old man.
After a while, Tom's leg healed. He was happy to be able to continue his journey to find his family. In the next morning, Tom went downstairs and saw a bicycle with a small cart attached to it.
- "It's for you young man, send my regard to your family" the old man said.
