It was christmas Eve , you could see the white layer of snow which covered everything , the air was freezing . Anywhere you would go, you would  smell the delicious smell of Christmas cookies .

But one kid wasn't very happy with all this 

His name was Edward. But what he didn't know was that something was going to change his perception of Christmas forever .

Edward woke up in the morning with a sad face when his mother asked: what's happening? to which he replied: 

I don't want Christmas. I'll get those socks again. 

His mom looked at him and said : “You'll see this year you won't just get socks, you'll get something magical.”

The boy smiled and ran curiously to the kitchen. In the kitchen, he met his dad who was just cleaning up. When Dad saw the boy he asked why he had such a big smile to which the boy replied: Mom said this Christmas is going to be special.

Then, his dad said 

"Well, that's interesting. Maybe there's more to Christmas than just socks this year" Edward was more and more curious as he couldn't wait. The family spent the whole morning baking Christmas cakes and decorating the house.

Later, there was a knock on the door, Edward opened it and he saw a man with a red costume and a white beard. Then he said 

"Hello Edward ! I heard you were waiting for something magic for Christmas"
