Hi! I'm Candace 

Cooley and I love 

animals. This is 

the story of how I 

became an Animal 

Guardian, at the 

age of 10.

I had to learn to 

get used to Mother 

Nature and to 

animals. It was 

worth it, though.

So that day I was 

swimming in a river and 

looking for something 

special. All the other 

fish were stealing 

glances at me, because 

I was different.

Then I saw a cat that 

was drowning, 

surrounded by a couple 

of fish. I jumped out 

of the river and 

morphed back into 

human. Then I fished 

the cat out.

I brought the cat 

back home. My 

parents own a barn, 

which already has 

animals inside.
