Once upon a time in an ordinary house, in
an ordinary town, lived an ordinary boy
named Oliver, or Ollie for short.

Every morning Ollie woke up at
the usual time and ate a standard
breakfast; regular oatmeal and
toast. After he completed his
normal routine, Ollie set out to
start his day.

Ollie was on his usual trip to see Mr.
Smith down at the apple orchard when he
happened upon something very unusual.A
cart full of strange items being pulled by
a zebra! The zebra was being led by a very
oddly dressed girl. "Salutations!"
screeched the girl. "I am the Incredible
Lady Bea! Have you come to sample my
wares?""Um..." Ollie murmured. "Well of
course you have! Come, come! You look like
you could use more octopus in your life.
It just so happens I have one left,"
beamed Bea.

This was all very out of the ordinary for Ollie. He
wasn't sure how to respond. "No thank you. I don't have
time to shop. It will completely throw off my daily
schedule" Ollie told Bea. Bea could hardly comprehend
that someone could have their whole day mapped out on a
schedule. That is no way to live, she decided. "Don't
worry. I have the perfect thing for you, free of charge"
Bea said as she dug through the items in her cart. "Ah,
here they are," she exclaimed. "What are they?" asked
Ollie. "Just what you need! Eat one bean in the morning
to enhance your day. Go ahead, have one now," begged
Bea. Ollie felt uneasy but was eager to leave and get
back to his familiar routine, so he took the can from Bea
and cautiously ate one bean. Bea grinned knowingly and
told Ollie to enjoy his day as she led her cart of
oddities off down the road.

Ollie went about his day on alert for
any abnormal effects from the bean.

He headed home around sunset and
laughed at how silly he felt for being
worried about a bean! Other than
encountering the peculiar girl that
morning, his day was completely
ordinary. That night, he fell asleep
with a smile.
