Be sure to check Aurora’s Christmas and All About Me about Aurora.

Introduction
Hi! I am Aurora! Today you’ll learn about a few festivities. But remember that these aren’t the only festivals that exist, there are much more! Okay, let’s start!

Number 1: Ramadan
Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar. It’s a month were you can’t eat from dawn till dusk. Not eating or drinking, called fasting, represents the nearness of Muslims to God. After Ramadan, Muslims celebrate Eid Ul Fitr, which means that Ramadan is finished.

Number 2: Kwanzaa
Kwanzaa is a non religious celebration which African American people celebrate. It was created by Maulana Karenga in 1966. It’s a 6 day celebration that lasts from December 26 till January 1. They use a candle holder (like during Hanukkah) that is lit every day during Kwanzaa. They also do every Kwanzaa day something kind.
