We had reached the forest before it was sunset.
"So where are we going now?" asked Salazar.
"That is a good question." Shrimp said. After a while on deciding what to do, we chose to go back to the weird town.
"Well, it looks like there is a giant dome around the area," Shrimp said thoughtfully, "Which means. . . there must be a way to get out."
"Let's try this way. Out of town," Salazar suggested. Arethina and I nodded in agreement. We left out of the town again and to the cart.
When we were going to get in, we had saw something.
In the dark, I could see an outline there, that was breathing.
Something alive! Just as I opened my mouth to say something, the alive thing stirred from it's sleep, as it made a sound like a purr.
The next moment, big, glittering, round green eyes had met my gaze.
In the darkness, I could not tell what it was. Then the thing crawled out of the darkness and into the ray of light that was in the cart.
The light had revealed that the creature indeed had green eyes, with violet colored skin, they also had even darker purple freckles dotted on their face, and long pointed ears.
An Elf! I thought. I have never seen one before.
But it was an actual one. I stared at the elf in wonderment.
People did say they were graceful looking, but now I really knew it.
"Looks like Drow-zee's awake," Shrimp said sarcastically.
"Wait. She's a Drow?" Salazar questioned.
"Well, yeah, that's why she's got purple skin," Shrimp pointed out, gesturing to the color of her skin.
"Yeah, nice to meet you," the Drow elf spoke, her voice kind. "my name is Violet. Violet Spark"
"Nice to meet you. I'm Maria. That's Arethina, Shrimp and Salazar," I introduced everyone.
"You're an elf!" I said in amazement. Violet nodded,
her green eyes sparkling.
"Yes. And I am actually a bugbear, myself," Shrimp said, removing his cloak that was covering his body. "Sorry I didn't say that from the beginning, didn't want to scare you away."
"Nice to meet you all," Violet said.
"Were you just sleeping in the cart? How long were you in there for?" Arethina asked.
"Since you guys entered the town," the elf responded. "Have you found a way out yet?"
"Nope."
"Let me try something." Violet got up to her feet, the with a fancy front flip, she got off of the cart. She took out her cross-bow and shot an arrow forward.
I saw that she was trying to hit a wall.
The next moment, the arrow that she sent flying away had been shot back, like it had been ricocheted off the wall.
When the arrow had hit violet, it hit her chest and she was bleeding badly.
"That was a bad plan," she mumbled.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Just...may have to rest...for a bit," she breathed out, her voice coming out in quick short rasps. She looked like she was by the door of death.
She was going to fall to the ground, if only Shrimp had not caught her.
