Zoos are very cool. You can see a lot 

of animals like Lions, Polar Bears, 

and even Sea Lions! A great thing 

about zoos is that you can see the 

animals very close up! I will tell you 

about three of my favorite ones. It is 

very amazing too see them in real 

life, not just in pictures. Get ready to 

be in the wild!

Lions are a very cool animal. They are 

the kings of the jungle. The males can 

be 550 pounds! Most of them live in 

Africa. They eat Zebras, Giraffes, 

Rhinos, and sometimes Elephants! 

But a cool fact is that Hippos are 

actually much more dangerous than 

lions. They live in large groups called 

"prides". They are very stealthy, yet 

aggressive.

Polar Bears are the kings of the 

Tundra! They can weigh 1400 

pounds! That is heavy! Though, when 

they are born, they are much smaller 

than human babies.To survive the 

cold, they have lots of fat and fur to 

keep them cozy and warm. They are 

white so they can hide in the snow 

without being found.

Sea Lions may not be the king of 

anything, but they sure are cool. 

Their skin is super slippery and 

smooth. They are very good 

swimmers, and they have funny 

whiskers. They eat lots of different 

fish, like salmon. They only weigh 

about 20 pounds. However, they can 

swim up to 25 miles per hour!

Today, you can see all of those 

animals at the zoo! You learned about 

Lions, Polar Bear, and Sea Lions. 

They are very neat in my opinion. 

They have very cool features and 

behavior. I hope you love the zoo!
