One day, Paulie was talking to her friend, Regina. They were talking about the various activities that they are involved in.

I am in my school's student council. We represent the student body and bring any of our concerns to administration. Our council had Pride flags put up in every classroom.

Later that night, Paulie was thinking to herself.
She liked the idea of creating a student council
to make changes around the school. Paulie also
wanted to begin an annual food drive to assist the
unhoused. But what would she do?
Paulie remembered what she learned last week in school: how to write an email. Paulie quickly began writing Mr. Richards, her school's principal. After formatting her email properly, she double-checked that she sounded respectful and sent her email!

Paulie then met with the principal, Mr. Richards. Paulie tells him that creating a student council that would sponsor a food drive would benefit her, her peers, and her community. She even prepared a slideshow to show why and how a student council would make the school better.
