Our Changing Moon

The moon is 

God's creation on day 4 

along with the sun 

and stars galore.

The moon orbits the Earth 

in 28 days 

as it passes through 

each moon phase.

At the beginning and end

 is the new moon. 

So, say goodbye, 

when it is out of sight from me and you.

As it waxes, 

the moon grows on its right 

as it appears to 

get very, very bright.

It may look like a cow will 

jump over the moon one night.

During the 1st quarter moon, 

it is lit halfway.

The man on the moon 

might be hiding that day.

The waxing gibbous 

will be larger soon, 

so saddle up 

cowboys and cowgirls 

it's time to 

lasso the moon.

The full moon 

is out to prowl 

when all the wolves 

start to howl.
