Noise. 

            So much noise. 

                                Noise, noise, noise. 

All day and all night, all Ivy hears is noise. 

From honking cars to bustling people, the noise never stops.

Ivy decided she needed to do something about it. And that something, was an escape. She made up her mind, she was going to build something where she could find her quiet. 

Ivy is going to make an indoor garden. She starts with creating an idea. She wants flowers, succulents, plants, and more! Most of all, she wants her quiet.

Ivy must start by reviewing the parts of a plant if she wants to successfully care for them!

Along with knowing the parts of a plant, Ivy must know what plants need to survive!

Plants need water.

They absorb water from their roots up through their stem.

Plants need sunlight.

Plants convert sunlight into energy through photosynthesis.

Plants need air.

Plants convert carbon dioxide into oxygen. 

Humans and animals convert oxygen into carbon dioxide.

So, Ivy gathered all her materials: pots, seeds, tools, soil, and water. 

She found a spot in her house with good sunlight and airflow!

She got to work!

First, she planted flowers. She planted Lilies, Roses, and Daisys. 

Then, she planted a cactus. She was careful not to prick her finger.

Finally, she planted the vine, Ivy. That way no matter where she was, she would always be a part of her garden.
