dear reader, let this be a lesson to you: if you find yourself struggling to get out of bed in the mornings, just remember the tale of the icy wake-up call. Sometimes, a little tough love is all it takes to kickstart your day. Now, go forth and conquer the world—after you've had your coffee, of course!

Once upon a time, in a land not too far from here, there lived a young person who just couldn't seem to get their butt out of bed in the mornings. No matter how many alarms they set or how loudly their parents yelled, they remained snug as a bug in a rug, refusing to budge from their cozy cocoon of blankets.
Now, this young person's parents had tried everything. They'd gently coaxed, they'd sweetly pleaded, and they'd even resorted to blasting air horns right next to the bed. But nothing seemed to work. The young person was a master at the art of sleeping in.
One fine morning, as the sun began its ascent in the sky, the young person's parents decided they'd had enough. They burst into the room, armed with pots and pans, and started banging them together like a marching band on steroids.
"Rise and shine, sleepyhead!" they bellowed, the cacophony echoing off the walls.
But the young person merely groaned and buried their head deeper into the pillow.
"What in the world?!" they exclaimed, sputtering and shivering as the icy water soaked through their pajamas.
"It's time to get up, darling," said the parents, trying (and failing) to stifle their laughter.
From that day forward, the young person learned their lesson. They never dared to hit the snooze button again, knowing full well that their parents were not to be trifled with when it came to wake-up calls.
