who think they can't change
and for their children who need them to.

There was an old lady who lived in a shoe.
She had so many children and loved them all, too

I know best!

She tried her best to make them behave,
but as individuals, respect they did crave.

So she sat in her shoe and puzzled and stewed
how she could connect, relate, and improve.

And so then I was like, "Really?" and he was like "Ya!"

a listening ear at times they would seek.

But habits of old are so hard to break.
She tried to correct them and bridges create.

A bit of progress at times she spied.
