Chapter: 1, Crying Madly

One night, a kitten started meowing madly…The whole night she was crying. That was when we heard it. We thought it was just looking for its mother who will soon find her. But, we kept hearing it again the next night. So, in the morning, we decided that we should look for the kitten and help her. With my mama and papa, we searched the building behind our ruko building, it is Rumah Toko means house-shop in Indonesian, that is on renovation. Judging by the kitten’s voice, she was around the building. And it seemed that after we investigated, we soon found out that the kitten was stuck under a pile of massive rocks!

HELP!!!

Chapter: 2, No Help

Mama climbed on those big rocks. Papa was so worried to see mama in action. But, we want to at least try to help the kitten by removing some small rocks on top of the pile, although, she was worried it would fall on the kitten. There were some workers that we asked for help. But, none of them wanted to waste their energy under the hot blazing sun while they still have many hard work to do. The next night, the kitten stopped meowing. On that night, we cried because the kitten stopped making sound and we thought whether it suceed to escape through a gap from the pile or not.

Chapter: 3, Praying to Allah

Mama suggested that we pray. So, we pray in the middle of the night while crying. I could not stop my tears watering out of my eyes. We prayed to Allah, that the kitten would go out of the pile of rocks and survive unscathed. Luckily it is Ramadhan. Ramadhan is a holly month for muslims where our prayers are being heard by Allah SWT. So, we have a chance that our prayer is granted. That prayer soothed us that night. Unlike the other night, this night we slept well.

Chapter: 4, Good News!

The next day until night time, we didn’t hear the kitten’s cry. So, we just thought Allah would have granted our prayer and the kitten did survive. But, the next day, we got an idea to check the kitten whether it has survied or not. We didn’t know why we got that idea, perhaps it must’ve been Allah’s guidance. We met one worker at that renovation site. He said that they lifted the rocks off and the kitten came out. The kitten was looking so skinny, said one of the workers. Three days without food and water, yet the kitten was OK and healthy. She is a miracle, even though she was skinny like vermicelli. She has a dark grey pelt on her back, grey stripes like a white tiger, eyes green like jaded marble and white milky socks that covers her paw on her four legs. I named her “Cry Stone”.
