Hi, my name is the Mad Bean. When I was younger my can was dropped before I was born. This caused me to always be mad.

But, I’m really not that different from you. I go to school, eat, and sleep. I don’t have any friends, because nobody wants to be friends with the bean who is always mad.

When that happens I get even more mad. I get bullied and people say stuff like, “Oh don’t go by him or he will snap you in half,” they say that because when I get really mad I snap my pencil in half, but I would never snap a bean in half.

I started to stomp into math hearing other beans talking back and forth. I never do that because I have no friends. I heard my teacher Mrs. Applebarn yell out, “Everyone partner up, we have a big project.” I don’t like working with partners because no one ever wants to work with me.

Just when I thought I would be partnerless, (again), someone tapped on my back. It was Happy Can. She asked me, “Do you want to be partners?”

I turned around and replied, “Sure.” I didn’t know why she asked me. She had so many friends and I didn’t. She was even the most popular in the school.
