Let's dive into our first time period. Sorry it's so loud in here our time machines still needs a bit of fine tuning! Our first stop is Ancient Egypt!

Fun Fact! ancient Egypt is that they believed in the concept of a soul split into different parts. According to Egyptian mythology, a person's soul was comprised of several components. which was the immortal aspect of the soul that could journey to the afterlife and become one with the gods.

Ancient Egyptians built majestic pyramids without our modern machinery. Each pyramid was surrounded by a complex of structures, including temples and smaller tombs for the pharaoh's family members and high-ranking officials. These complexes were designed to ensure the pharaoh's safe journey into the afterlife and to perpetuate their memory for eternity."

Pharaohs ruled as both political and religious leaders and were believed to be divine decedents of the gods. They were buried in elaborate tombs filled with treasures and artifacts to accompany them into the afterlife.
Our Next stop is the Roman Empire!

Here is a gross fact about the Roman Empire! The Roman Empire used urine as a cleaning agent. Due to its ammonia content, urine was commonly used for various cleaning purposes, such as laundering clothes and even whitening teeth.

The circular building in Rome, known as the Pantheon, originally served as a temple dedicated to all the gods of ancient Rome. Commissioned by Marcus Agrippa and later rebuilt by Emperor Hadrian, its distinctive dome remains a marvel of Roman engineering and stands as a symbol of the city's architectural legacy.

In the heart of the Roman Empire, grandeur and power intertwined to create a civilization that spanned centuries. With its capital in Rome, this vast empire stretched across three continents, shaping politics, culture, and law throughout the ancient world.

I don't know about you but this thing is starting to make me dizzy! Next stop, the Middle Ages!

In the Middle Ages, knights engaged in mock battles called "melees" for entertainment and skill practice, using blunted weapons to showcase their prowess in combat.

The Middle Ages saw the rise of Gothic architecture, characterized by soaring cathedrals with pointed arches, and ribbed vaults. These monumental structures served as symbols of religious devotion and showcased the ingenuity of medieval craftsmen.

Peasants lived in small, rural villages and were subject to feudal obligations, such as paying taxes or providing labor to their lords in exchange for the right to work the land. Their daily lives were often characterized by hard work, subsistence living, and limited social mobility.

Let continue our journey but this time lets travel to the age of exploration!

Fun Fact! During the Age of Exploration, sailors would often bring along citrus fruits like oranges and lemons on their voyages. These fruits were prized not only for their taste but also for their ability to prevent scurvy, a disease caused by vitamin C deficiency.
