There were once three princesses
As UN-perfect as could be
They were also trying
To become one they did not yet see.

The oldest one is Lina
Who wants to be
The most elegant
Sister to see.
She is neat everywhere
From kitchen to chair
Outside to inside
Even with tableware!

The second one is Mia
Who was quiet even at home
She liked to write very much
She preferred to be left alone.
Sometimes she surprised others
With witty humor
Even her sisters were surprised
And maybe even her.

Betty was the youngest
With curiosity for everything
Flowers to boats
Trees to swings.
She did irritate others
As she talked a whole lot
Especially her older sisters
With boredom to rot.
One day seemed especially gray
Their father was sick
Whenever he sneezed
Betty would go, "Ick!"
"We have to do something,"
The oldest sister said,
"We can't sit around
With him in bed."

So the girls set out
To find a clue
Not really knowing
What to do.
What they didn't know
Was that a dragon was near
Close to the tower
Where Father hid in fear.

The girls soon came back
Somber to not find anything
When they discovered
A gate was placed around their dear old king!
"What can we do
to break the gate?"
Cried little Betty.
The sisters wanted to wait.
