Slovakian traditions
During the Holy week people go to the church. These days of the week are called Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, & Easter Sunday.
On Easter Monday ( sprinkle day) boys and men walk from one house to another with a wooden stick (korbach) and buckets of water. They splash water and lightly whip women and girls to keep them healthy for whole year. Some boys and men also spray with parfume.
Girls deccorate eggs called "kraslice".

Greek Easter traditions and customs
Easter is celebrated throughout the country and it is the most significant time in the Greek Orthodox church.
On Holy Thursday people make the delicious sweet Easter bread, called ' tsoureki', to be eaten on Easter Sunday. They also dye red eggs, which symbolize Jesus' blood.
On Saturday night, before midnight people go to churches with white candles to get the Holy Light and at midnight there are fireworks in the sky. Afterwards they go home to eat the traditional ' magiritsa', a special soup with lamb and vegetables. On Easter Sunday families gather to have a big celebration with food, music and dance.
