Ralph, a young kid, sat at the large table in the house.
"Ralph!" his Mama called his name,"Honey, can you run to the store and pick up some pasta?"
"I'll give you a cookie as a reward." she said to Ralph.
Like always, Ralph really wanted the cookie.
Ralph nodded and went adventure to Lenny's Store like always.
He walked down the street as if he was watching the country side in a old truck.
He walked down the sidewalks, across the streets, looking both ways of course!
Carefully walking through the streets of Boxville.
Ralph was now at Lenny's Store, and he looked for the pasta.
He looked up and down, all around, and finally. He found the pasta box his Mama needed.
Ralph grabbed the pasta off the shelf and went to buy it.
Ralph always spoke to the owner, Lenny, who was the kindest in town.
He always had a warm smile, as if it was painted on him all the time.
Lenny's friend, Alan, always sat behind the counter, reading books that were popular.
Ralph bought the pasta from Lenny, and left home to his Mama dreaming of the favorite cookie he'd get back home.
After a long time, Ralph was always running to the store to get his Mama food to make cook.
BUT, one day, Mama stopped giving Ralph cookies for bring home stuff from Lenny's Store.
Ralph was very upset that he couldn't get anymore cookies.
Ralph's Mama asked for Ralph to run off to the store again, this time to grab fish. BUT Ralph, had a plan to get his favorite cookies.
He was going to STEAL!
Ralph made it to Lenny's Store, walking around as if he was a ninja, sneaking around the store with a bag.
Ralph found the shelf of cookies, there it was!
He dreamed of the cookie's taste.
Ralph grabbed one from shelf and put it in his bag, when someone spoke,"Hey, yeah, you kid. Are you stealing?" an older kid asked.
Ralph to turn around slowly, and told the older kid,"N-no...?" Ralph was scared, worried if he would tell on him!
"Look," the older kid said,"my name is Cole, you don't know me, but you shouldn't be stealing okay?" Cole said quietly.
"Let me tell you something," Cole spoke again,"Have you heard of Buddha's Right of Action?"
Ralph said,"No, what is that."
Cole sighed, then spoke again,"You need to do good, be great, and calm in all the things you do" (Rahula).
Cole stopped, then spoke again,"Being a good person helps the world, like yourself or anyone."
Ralph stared at Cole, stuck in place like a tree in the ground.
"Alright, I need to go, because my friends at the park need me okay?" Cole looked at Ralph.
"I'm not gonna tell on you, but I want you to decide what's the best action. " Cole said.
Cole stopped,"Just be a good kid, alright?"
Cole then walked off to buy some sodas.
Ralph decided to keep the cookie for himself.
After all it was his decision.
Ralph ran to Lenny and bought all the food. Before, Lenny could ask about Ralph's worried face, Ralph was gone.
The next day, Ralph went to steal from the store and get some shrimp for his Mama.
He walked through the store to the shelf section, carefully, he put two cookies in his pocket.
When a loud voice spoke.
"Excuse me, young man, what are you doing?" the voice asked.
Ralph turned around to see the local Priest, it was John W. standing in front of him like a statue.
The Priest was tall, like a giraffe.
"Oh, hello Ralph," the Priest said,"You aren't stealing those cookies, right?" asked the Priest.
Ralph said very fast,"What cookies? I'm not trying to steal!"
"Ralph, my boy, I saw you put them in your pocket." the Priest said.
"Don't you know lying is bad? You hurt yourself, and others with lies. Let me tell you something from Christianity." The Priest paused, "Lies from a mouth, do not come from good people or gentlemen" (“the Disastrous Sin of Lying.”).
Ralph was shaking, worried if the Priest would tell Mama or Lenny!
"So, are you lying?" The Priest asked.
"Y-yes, I am." Ralph said scared.
"I like that you are being truthful, I trust you will do what is right with the stolen cookies." said the Priest,"I wish you goodbye Ralph, and please, don't lie its bad for all."
The Priest left before Ralph could say anything to him.
Ralph, again, bought the shrimp with the stolen cookies still in his pocket.
Ralph stole AGAIN from Lenny's Store!
He ran to his Mama's, like a car speeding down the road, as fast as him could go.
Alan and Lenny wondered why Ralph always looked so worried, and looked around.
The next day, Ralph was at Lenny's Store to get some to get some tuna.
Ralph, worried about the last time, walked extra carefully.
He got the tuna for his Mama, and three more stolen cookies for himself.
It was Ralph's own decision after all.
