People and animals need Oxygen to breathe.

Plants need Carbon Dioxide in order break down sugar for energy.

All living things need sunlight. 

Sunlight is a source of energy and also provides heat. Without sunlight, living things would not function properly.

Water is necessary for plants, humans, and animals.

Plants get water from the soil and it goes up through their roots.

Water helps plants grow and stand up straight.

Humans need water to stay alive.

It gives us proper nutrients and keeps us healthy.

Some animals need water to drink, just like humans.

Other animals rely on water as their home like fish, frogs, and turtles.

All living things need food to survive.

Food contains important nutrients that living things need to stay healthy and strong.
