“Forgive me Father, for I have sinned.” A white man wearing a dark coat kneeled on the floor of an old church. His head was bent down, and his hands were clasped together. In front of him was a statue of Jesus Christ, his hands nailed to the cross. Lit candles illuminated the room. The man raised his head. His eyes were red, and his bottom lip was quivering. 

    “Please, father,” he spoke with urgency. “I didn’t mean to do it. I lost control...” He unclasped his hands and held the flat in front of him. His palms were stained with blood. 

    “Please,” He sobbed.
