Jack loves Halloween and everything spooky. He especially loves his black cat. They are the best of friends, and Jack often dresses up in a black cat costume to match his furry friend.

One Halloween, Jack and his cat decide to explore the old abandoned house. "They say it's haunted by ghosts and a witch lives there", Jack shouts. Jack is excited to go on a spooky adventure, but his cat is scared. "Meow, are you sure it's safe?", the cat asks.

"Of course!", Jack says. They creep up to the old house and, as they get closer, they see lit pumpkins and a witch's hat hanging on the door. Jack's heart races with excitement.

They enter the old house; they feel a chill in the air and hear strange noises coming from every corner. Suddenly, the ghosts appear, floating around the room. "Boo!", they say, trying to scare Jack and his cat. But Jack just laughs and says, "You're not scary, you're just friendly ghosts".

"Welcome to my haunted house!", the witch says. The cat meows nervously. "Do you have any Halloween stories?", Jack asks.

"Oh, I have plenty of stories", the witch says. "But first, let's have some trick or treat fun!". She hands each one a bag and tells them to go around the house and collect as many treats as they can find.
