Once upon a time, a princess locked up in a tower
began to hope. She hoped for true love. She hoped for
a man who could defeat the fierce dragon that
terrorized the tower's entrance. As the girl grew older,
her hope grew stronger.

I am very lonely. Please
send help. I want to come home.
Love,
Princess Ava

When Princess Ava turned 18, she wrote to her
parents asking them to send someone to save her.
She had been talking to her parents by sending
messages via her carrier eagle, Carl. Princess Ava's
parents wrote her back, telling her that they would do
their best.

Ava wished she had never ran into this tower as a child.

She wished she had seen the dragon before she entered.

She wished the eagle that brought her food could carry her
out of the tower.

Ava's parents, King Damien and Queen Tiffany, had sent princes
and knights to save her, but the vicious dragon had eaten them all.
Eventually, the princes stopped trying to save her.

But King Damien and Queen Tiffany still missed their daughter
dearly. So they sent a decree through all the land saying that the
man who saved Ava could have her hand in marriage and inherit
their kingdom.

may have her hand in marriage
and inherit the kingdom!
-King Damien and Queen Tiffany

Many men jumped at this wonderful opportunity. They did
not fear the vicious dragon, because they wanted so badly to
become king and inherit the kingdom.

Unfortunately, most of the men did not make it all the way to
the castle. More than 100 men wound up lost in the woods
that surrounded Princess Ava's tower!

Brave Knight Nick made it to the tower first. "Princess Ava!" he called.
"Have you come to save me?" Ava asked from the small window in the
tower.
"Of course," he replied.

Brave Knight Nick unsheathed his sword and strode toward the tower,
planning to face the dragon head-on.

Only to be lit on fire by the vicious dragon!

Brave Knight Nick ran screaming from the tower, and
Princess Ava sighed, flopping onto her makeshift bed of
blankets. She didn't want anyone to get hurt.

Handsome Prince Peter made it to the tower next. "Princess Ava!" he
called.
"Have you come to save me?" Ava asked from the small window in the
tower.
"Of course," he replied.

Handsome Prince Peter unsheathed his sword and strode behind the tower,
planning to attack the dragon from the back.

Only to be gobbled up by the vicious dragon!

Handsome Prince Peter stopped screaming as the
vicious dragon swallowed him, and Princess Ava
sighed, flopping onto her makeshift bed of
blankets. She didn't want anyone to get hurt.

Sneaky Peasant Paul made it to the tower next. "Princess Ava!" he
called.
"Have you come to save me?" Ava asked from the small window in the
tower.
"Of course," he replied.

Sneaky Peasant Paul unsheathed his sword and strode around the
tower, planning to sneak around the dragon.
