Chapter 1: Leaving

Hi, im Natalie and im 12 years old. I live in Florida and its really, really hot, Especially since it's summer! We have had a lot of fun this summer but this July my dad has to leave to go to the army.

                               The Next Month

"Bye kiddo, I will miss you," Her Dad said. "Bye dad, I love you." she said back. "Right back at ya, kid." and then he walked out of the door with a slight smile.   :)

Chapter 2: No!

                   The Next year

"NO! Mom stay with me! Please." she said with tears steaming down her cheeks. "It's my time to go, honey. I will always be with you. I love you, sweetheart." her mom said with a slight smile on her face. "I love you too, mom" Then her tears turned into a sob after she heard a loud BEEP. Then at the house later that month there was a policeman at her door. "Mam," he said looking sympathetic. "Your father has died, he didn't make it our of the war alive." Tears streamed her cheeks as he gave her a letter.

She opened the note and sobbed when she read it. She couldn't think that it was really goodbye.

But at least her cat was there, he wouldn't d!e, right? Well a few months later, marty d!ed.

She made up her mind,she was running away and there was no way to stop her.

Chapter 3: Gone

She packed up her things and left, not sure where she was going to go. how she was going to get there, and not sure how she could bring all of her clothes around. But she did it anyway. She was in too much pain to stay. In too much pain to tell her friends or family goodbye. So she left. She walked through forests, mud, and even tangled vines, and still had no clue where she was going. All until she found a puppy. A tan and white puppy, and it led her to a town with rooms and beaches and food. It finally came to her, thats where she could stay. She named the puppy daisy and decided to keep her as a pet. And then, life suddenly got easier.
