Flying fox bats perfer to live in warm tropical and subtropical climates. During the day they love to hang on high tree branches and soak up the sun.

Flying fox bats are Herbivorous, which means they manily eat plants or foods that come from plants such as flowers, nectar, and fruits. They also enjoy eating small bugs such as crickets and beetles. 

Some of the flying fox bats favortie foods to eat are bananas, nectar, coconut flowers, and the leaves from mulberry trees.

How big are Flying Fox bats?

Flying fox bats are catagorized as Megabats with some of the largest of their kind being the Indian flying fox and the Malaysian large flying fox. 

The title of the largest bat in the world goes to the Great Golden Crowned flying fox with it's wing span reaching up to 5ft across!
