One sunny morning, a girl named Viviana woke up in her bed. She got out of bed, brushed her teeth and got changed. Viviana said " I'm ready for school!" As Viviana walked downstairs she smelled her mom making yummy pancakes. Great! My first day of school and my favorite breakfast! Viviana thought.

As soon as Viviana finished her pancakes she went to school. The first day of preschool was scary for her she didn't know anyone! All of the sudden she saw her neighbor Lucia! Viviana went up to Lucia and said " Hi Lucia! "  When Lucia saw Viviana they talked all about how they would be in the same class! 

" Our room number is 101. I'll see you there!" Then Lucia walked away heading toward the lavatory. Well, Thought Viviana. I guess i'm going to room 101 alone. When she walked into room 101 the first person she saw was her teacher Mrs. Apple.

She sat right in the desk with her name on it. Viviana Crawford. She began setting all her things on her desk. 

"Hi Mrs.Apple!" Viviana said. " Hi! " Replied Mrs.Apple. " You must be Viviana Crawford! Please, settle in." She said. So Viviana took her crayons and a piece of plain white paper. She began to draw an apple. She planned on giving it to her teacher.

Just then all of the other preschoolers came in. Lucia picked a seat right next to Viviana. The other person next to Viviana was a boy named Dean Disney. Mrs. Apple announced that we were doing a project with penguins. She asked that we'd all find partners and do research about penguins. Lucia and Viviana decided to be partners. They called themselves The Penguin Partners! It was the perfect name!

Lucia said "Everyone knows that penguins eat fish so let's write that down!" "Yes everyone knows that!" So Viviana wrote down that they eat fish.

 This is going to be so easy! Viviana and Lucia thought.They wrote down that penguins are cute and are fast swimmers. They were down to the last thing they had to research so they made a penguin diagram! "This is the best research i've ever done!" said Lucia "Same!" replied Viviana.
