- India Retamero

Chapter 1
The Maldives is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, it lies southwest of Sri Lanka and India.

Another place in the world that is completely different from The Maldives, and that people like to visit, is The Arctic.
The approximate distance between the Maldives and the Arctic is around 4,631 miles or (7,454 kilometres).
Chapter 2
If you travel just 4,631 miles, the world changes so much! In The Maldives, there is no winter, the temperature is around 30°C all year round. The lowest temperature ever recorded in The Arctic part of Greenland was -69.6°C, that's freezing cold! Just 10 °C is above normal for summer temperatures in Siberia (A Russian state that is part of The Arctic).

In 1991 the highest temperature recorded in The Maldives was 36.8°C, and the lowest was a rare 18.2°C, in 2002. The Maldives is always warm!
Because of the Earth's tilt, for at least one day a year there’s an entire day of darkness in The Arctic — and also a full day of sunshine. Can you imagine not having a night time, or a sunrise for either a day, or even for 3 months?
