In a beautiful green forest, there lived a lively peacock named Penny. Penny had the most beautiful and vivid feathers anyone had ever seen, but Penny was always afraid to show them.

Every day, Penny would keep her feathers tucked away as she watched everyone else go out and play. Penny wished she could be normal like the other animals, but was afraid of standing out.

One of the biggest days had arrived. It was the day of the forest parade! All the animals would show their talents and play with each other.

As she watched all the animals dance, Penny hid behind the tree in embarrassment. That was until Oliver the wise owl landed next to Penny. "Why aren't you joining the parade, Penny?" Oliver questioned.

"I'm afraid that my feathers are too bright. I don't want people to make fun of me because I look different than them," Penny replied. 

Oliver gave her a small smile. "Penny, your feathers are a gift. They are meant to be shown to the world, not kept in secret! Hiding them won't make you any happier." Oliver answered.
