Sally Shark woke up the happiest shark in the whole ocean, because she woke up with one goal, and that goal was to make her very first friend.  

Sally swam and swam until she came upon a sea turtle. She stopped and asked the sea turtle if he wanted to play, but instead of answering, he scurried away. 

Sally kept on swimming.

Next, Sally caught a glimpse of a beautiful red fish. She swam as fast as she could to the red fish and said, "do you want to play?" Instead of answering, the beautiful red fish hurried away. 

                                                    Sally kept on swimming.

Sally then spotted a sea horse. Sally approached the sea horse and said, "do you want to play?"

The sea horse replied, "no, please go away."  

                             Sally was starting to feel hopeless, but she kept                              on swimming. 

No, please go away.

Sally then spotted the biggest whale she had ever seen. She thought to herself, "maybe he will want to play with me." 

She swam to the whale as fast as she could and asked if he wanted to play, but he said, "didn't I tell you no yesterday?"

Sally was starting to feel defeated. She started to wonder if she was ever going to find a friend...
