Newton First Law

Newton's first law applies to objects on Earth and in space. For example, a spacecraft in deep space can travel in the same direction at the same speed without needing a boost from its thrusters.

Newton's Second Law

The acceleration of the body is directly proportional to the net force acting on the body and inversely proportional to the mass of the body. This means that as the force acting upon an object is increased, the acceleration of the object is increased.

Newton's second law of motion states that the acceleration of an object is equal to the net force acting on it divided by its mass. The equation for Newton's second law of motion is
