Hundreds of years ago, people believed that sun and the solar system revolves around earth. In reality, Earth and the solar system all evolve around sun. Try this activity to see how the planets orbit the sun
You need an adult to help you if you are under 15
Model of the solar system
You will need: Slice each of the balls in half
A pocket knife
Ten styrofoam Balls Paint the balls according to the chart
Paint match.
Math tool sting glue
Poster board
Largest ball Sun. Yellow
Jupiter. Dark yellow
Saturn. Brown
Uranus. Light blue
Neptune Deep blue
Earth. Blue + green
Venus. Brown and orange
Mars. Red
Mercury. Dark gray
Smallest ball. Pluto. Light gray
Using a ruler and a pencil mark a dot from the left edge of the board 13 cm. Mark The second dot 13 cm away from the first dot been barking dogs one dots has 2 to 3 inches or 6 to 7 cm for distance you will see that you made a 3D model of the solar system
