Once upon a time there was a little girl named Rut who had a dog named Terrens. She chose the name because it reminded her of a character from the movie Tinkerbell.
Terrens came into Rut's life when he was just a puppy. His fur was very thick, soft, and gray, and his little tail would wag whenever he saw her or anyone in Rut's family.
From the first day they met, Rut and Terrens were inseparable. They played in the garden, ran in the park, and Terrens would even chase the motorcycle when Rut was riding with her father.
One summer, they went to the beach and Terrens went into the river and ran really fast with his tongue in the air. That day he learned to swim, although he ended up really dirty.
Rut loved to throw sticks, and Terrens always brought them back, wagging his tail proudly. He was a smart dog and soon learned many tricks. He could sit up, roll over, and even wave his paw!
But as Terrens grew older, he became more curious. He would often sneak out of the house to play with other dogs outside or to visit neighbors' houses, who were all familiar with him.
One day, when Rut left the door open, Terrens ran out into the street. Rut called him, but he didn't come back. He found something strange to eat, and before she could stop him, he gobbled it up
Terrens began acting strangely, running in circles. Before Rut could understand what was happening, he ran out into the street and disappeared.
Rut and her family searched everywhere, asking neighbors and putting up signs, but Terrens never came back.
Rut was heartbroken, missing her friend, but always remembering the joyful times they shared. The beach days, the walks in the park, and the funny tricks remained forever in her heart.
